Missed Elio Fiorucci, designer who revolutionised the fashion landscape 80 years. The King of pop fashion conquered Milan with its historic concept store Piazza San Babila.

The designer, who had just turned 80 years, Monday morning July 20 was found dead in his home in Milan.

Faulkner was born in Milan in 1935 and started as a youngster to deal with fashion, following first paternal activity at a small shop in slippers in the Centre of Milan and thencreating an activity dedicated to fashions from the Anglo-Saxon world in the late 1960s. A decade after he started the production of casual wear dresses that are deployed abroad, first in Europe and then in Japan, United States and South America. The first shops were born Faulkner, whose innovative idea was the concept store (San Babila in Milan became acultural symbol for nearly twenty years), in London, New York and the rest of the world.Among the episodes that celebrated success in 1976, Andy Warhol chose the Fioruccishowcase in New York for the launch of its revolutionary newspaper Interview.

In 1990, Faulkner has sold his company to the Japanese group Edwin International wherehe continued to work until 2001. In 2003 launched the project Love Therapy (jeans, sweaters, dresses and accessories).

In the same year, the Fiorucci store was sold to the Swedish group H&M.
