Boom in sales, Zara rewards employees 37 million to thank them

After last year's record growth (+15% compared to 2015), for the first time in its history the Spanish Inditex employees will find themselves in a substantial paycheck bonus. In fact, the Iberian giant will distribute equitably among its employees on 10% of earnings over the past two years. Translated into numbers, means that, in total, the group begins an amount equal to 37.4 million, which will be divided into the paychecks of April of 78mila employees of stores, factories, logistics and branches with more than two years of service. In Spain, workers who meet the requirements will receive 560 euros each. The plan was announced last year and will continue in 2017. The patron of the group, Amancio Ortega, as a member of the Board of Directors will earn a bonus of 100,000 euros.

At the same time the Colossus announced the launching of a project based on the use of Rfid-Radio frequency identification to track each of 50 thousand references of products manufactured by the Group's brands. The brand Zara has already started this system and by the end of 2016 will be applied to all stores while from 2017 the technology will spread to all other trademarks Inditex. Goal is to monitor the availability of products within the store and avoid the loss of products due to errors or theft.
