The Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York dedicated an exhibition to gowns created by fashion houses that recall the imagery of fairy tales. "Fairy Tale Fashion"was inaugurated less than a week and will be open until 16 April, near the Met's annual showorganized by Anna Wintour, editor of Vogue Us.
The exhibition includes dresses, accessories and illustrations from the 18th century to todayby hosting creations of famous designers such as Prada, Tom Ford, Dolce & Gabbana, Alexander McQueen, Rick Owens, Comme des Garçons, Rodarte, Christian Louboutin. Fictional characters like little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Dorothy from the wizard of Oz and Alice come alive through outfits and scenes designed to recreate the magical atmosphere of literary works.
