"No fur" period in the fashion world: the last membership comes from two major brands, Versace and Furla, who have chosen to banish furs from their collections.
In an interview with "The Economist" Versace announced: "Fur? I'm out of that. I don't want to kill animals to make fashion. It doesn't feel right".
The two fashion brands are just the last of a large group of Maison who undertake not to use more animal furs.
Among the first brands, when the choice was still against the current, we find Stella McCartney and Vivienne Westwood.
Recently, Michael Kors, Jimmy Choo and Gucci have also stated that they will no longer use real fur to be added to brands such as Giorgio Armani, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren.
